As part of the student D&AD brief, we where tasked with designing the packaging of British High street retailer John Lewis for their online shopping experience. Shopping at a John Lewis store is an experience in itself, and we aimed to bring that in-store feel to customers shopping from home.
We knew that the best way to create a successful experience was to create a connection with a customer that is lasting and memorable. We found that the best way to engage with the customer was to add a personal and unique touch to the parcel. We wanted customers to connect this British culture with John Lewis and their proudly British heritage. In order to achieve a splendidly British inspired packaging, we combined typically British symbols into a pattern through a Wedgwood inspired style. The campaign would be carried over various touch points and customers would engage with their splendidly British home delivery experience.
